PRIMARY HV INSTALLATION

Primary plant installation is where programme, safety and records meet. Switchgear, busbars, earthing and auxiliary supplies must be installed to the OEM's and the network operator's requirements, recorded on inspection and test plans and proven through site acceptance testing before the asset can be accepted into service and energised.

Power-IS installs primary plant and substation infrastructure up to 400kV, in transmission and distribution substations, with every hold and witness point recorded by the installing team and supported through SAT to energisation.

Our leadership and supervisors have worked alongside the leading switchgear and transformer OEMs on GIS and transformer installations and have delivered works in live transmission and DNO substations. Works are installed to approved drawings and ITPs, and the records the network operator expects before energisation are completed as the works progress, not reconstructed at the end.
